Commitment to Quality

Cobra is committed to providing unsurpassed quality products to its customers. This has been the founding principles of the company. To gain international recognition and further institutionalize the principles we implemented a business management system based on the QS-9000 standards and achieved registration in 1998.

In the year 2002 we embarked on the ISO/TS 16949:2002 initiative and achieved registration (US & Europe) to the international standard in 2003. All our facilities in the US and Europe share a common understanding of the quality philosophy and follow the same guidelines and procedures.

To further strengthen our commitment to quality, timeliness and cost, we initiated a corporate wide Six Sigma program in 2003. A number of our employees have been trained and achieved Green Belts, Black Belts. All our employees have also been trained on the Six Sigma methodology and they continue to actively participate in institutionalizing it in the company’s culture. Our six sigma projects have already provided us successful results in reducing stagnation by over 95% thus improving the cycle time and inventory turns. Our other six sigma projects are focused towards eliminating chips, improving machine efficiencies, reducing cycle time and eliminating waste. We will continue to utilize this methodology to improve our processes, reduce variation and waste in our daily activities.
